What is Juvelook?
Juvelook is an advanced hybrid collagen bio-stimulator that can be injected into the face and skin areas to restore a youthful appearance in a gradual and natural way. Juvelook combines Poly-D, L-Lactic Acid (PDLLA) and Hyaluronic Acid (HA) to stimulate the skin’s collagen production in the treated areas. Juvelook helps to improve fine lines and scars, reduce pores, maintain skin hydration, enhance skin elasticity, and brighten the skin.
How does Juvelook work?
Juvelook combines ultrafine molecules into a porous circular structure by the micro-particle spraying method, which is the manufacturer’s patented technology. As macrophages in the body induce an immune response by breaking down PLA, fibroblasts are activated, hence collagen is produced at the injection areas.
The produced collagen prevents skin ageing by continuously combining with moisture in the skin, promoting skin brightening, regeneration, and hydration. Furthermore, the produced collagen stimulates skin texture regeneration, effectively reducing pores and scars.
Day 1 – Physical Support
Immediately after the injection, JuveLook takes effect by filling the wrinkled areas with HA material. Simultaneously, the included PDLLA microparticles prevent the migration of the HA hydrogel from the target area, enhancing cohesiveness.
After 2 Weeks – Restoration
After one month, as the HA begins to undergo hydrolysis, the PDLLA microparticles support collagen production and contribute to the improvement of skin elasticity. This marks a turning point where the action of PDLLA becomes more prominent, leading to long-term collagen production.
After 6 Months – Maintenance
After six months, the final results of using JuveLook became apparent. The product gradually biodegrades, restoring the skin’s volume and promoting the synthesis of newly formed collagen fibres. These fibres maintain a natural effect over time, providing lasting benefits.
The benefits
-
Benefits of PDLLA
PDLLA stimulates the production of collagen and elastin fibres through the proliferation of adipose-derived stem cells.
-
Patented Technologies
The patented reticular structure of PDLLA maximises the contact surface area involved in the production of new collagen and elastic fibre while minimising its biocompatibility with human tissue.
-
Safety
PDLLA has a lower glass transition temperature and hardness compared to other polymers which allows PDLLA to decompose into water and CO2 in the human body preventing a prolonged immune response.
-
Efficacy
PLLDA stimulates the generation of new collagen and elastic fibres while slowing down the degradation of the existing collagen at the same time.
-
CE and KFDA Approved
Juvelook has been approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drugs and is also certified in Europe CE.
-
Benefits of Hyaluronic Acid -The Biocompatible Gel Carrier
Juvelook uses a biocompatible and unique gel carrier, Sodium hyaluronate, the salt form of HA, The non-cross- linked HA gives an immediate filling effect after the procedure and an intense hydration effect beyond the skin surface.
As HA is widely distributed throughout the human body, this biocompatible gel carrier prevents immune response or allergic reaction. Other chemical compound-based carriers such as CMC (Carboxymethyl Cellulose) can result in over-swelling or inflammation after the procedure.
HA facilitates reconstitution and prevents needle blockage.
What are the effects of Juvelook?
- Small particles of PDLLA evenly volumize your skin by boosting collagen production in the dermis layer.
- Delicate improvement of fine lines and acne scars
- Whole face injection including forehead, temple and tear trough for the skin texture and brightness enhancement
- Skin firming and volumising effects for thinner skin
How long will the results last?
Juvelook provides the aqua-shine effect of HA during the first 4 weeks and then stimulates the natural collagen production by PLA. The skin improvement effects last for about 6 months after 3 treatments, conducted at 1-month intervals.
Is there any downtime or side effects?
On the first and second days after the procedure, there will be slight swelling, especially in sensitive areas, such as around the eyes. However, the swelling usually subsides by the third day.
Is there any aftercare?
Sun exposure should be avoided and the treatment area should remain hygienic. On the day of treatment, it is recommended to avoid visiting spas.
What is the difference between Juvelook and other polymer fillers?
The components of Juvelook are PDLLA and HA. PDLLA is the safest and most biocompatible isomer of PLA, It stimulates the restoration of collagen, and we will also get additional benefits of HA which is generally safe for all skin types and promotes the skin.
Can I combine Juvelook with other injectables like Botox, HA fillers etc?
Yes, there are many different ways to combine Juvelook with other treatments. You may get multiplied effects by combining them with other injectables. It is advised to follow your doctor’s instructions and evaluation to choose the appropriate course of treatment.
